establish ourselves in 1991 in the ISPRA European Research Centre to become the key player in the denuclearisation of the site.
In parallel with its services in the nuclear industry, SOGEDEC has diversified into other risk sectors, such as asbestos. In 1987, SOGEDEC was awarded the
'Classified Installation Prize' by the French Environment Minister for the treatment of a disused factory polluted by asbestos.
SOGEDEC's development goes hand in hand with the life of nuclear installations. Our first ever clients were CEA and AREVA.
The French leader in nuclear decommissioning, SOGEDEC is also well placed with EDF with the rise in
decommissioning of the first power stations in the graphite gas and pressurised water sectors.
Completing the range of its integrated solutions, SOGEDEC has its own
CEPI (Classified Environmental Preservation Installation) dedicated to the
storing and manipulation of radioactive substances (materials and waste).
