The ONET Group, a specialist of industrial cleaning, created SOGEDEC in 1978 to satisfy the needs of its nuclear customers in the specific decontamination and decommissioning fields.

The level of recruiting and organisation implemented allowed us to guarantee the quality and technical expertise of our services.

Our first site, the agency in La Hague will be quickly joined by the agencies in Marcoule and then Paris.

Our know-how which is constantly enhanced by our experience feedback allowed us:

• in 1985, to decommission the dissolvers of the COGEMA Marcoule fuel reprocessing plant, to export in the late 1980s, our control of glove box works in the plutonium environment to the Hanau German site,
• In 1991, to establish ourselves on the European research centre, ISPRA to become the major player in denuclearisation of the site.
• To perform the decommissioning of the fuel manufacturing plant, FBFC Pierrelatte (AREVA Group) ordered by Ministerial Decree on 13 May 2003.
• To be at the forefront of dismantling "plutonium" glove box processes on the AREVA NC sites in La Hague and Marcoule.

At the same time as these services performed in the nuclear industry, SOGEDEC is extending its activities to other risky environments such as asbestos. In 1987, SOGEDEC won the "Prix des installations classes" (classified facilities prize) awarded by the Ministry of Environment for treating an old plant polluted by asbestos. Since then, our customers' trust has not lessened and our work sites have grown in volume and technical expertise.

SOGEDEC has developed alongside nuclear facilities. Our first historical customers are CEA and AREVA.

SOGEDEC, which is the leading company in French nuclear dismantling also works with EDF with the increase of dismantling operations for the first plants in the gas graphite sector then the pressurised water sector...

To complete its range of overall solutions, since 2004 SOGEDEC has SOGEVAL, its own CFPE (Classified Facility for the Protection of the Environment) dedicated to storage and handling of radioactive substances (equipment and waste).
