The Extreme Environment Technologies Division has six CTS (Consultant in Transport Security) in its companies:
These consultants are trained in the base module (gas, corrosive, toxic and inflammable materials…) and especially in Class 7 concerning radioactive materials, the basis of our activity.
After a national examination confirmed by a certificate valid for five years, the CTS makes sure that all means are put into practice to guarantee transport safety. Under the responsibility of the company director, their mission is:
-
to apply ADR (International European agreement concerning road haulage of dangerous goods): training, application of procedures,
-
to write an annual report regarding transport operations,
-
to ensure regulations are respected,
-
to write up accident reports and define drills to avoid any repetition.
To reach these objectives, the consultant uses the documentary basis made up of regulatory prescriptions, feedback from the field and available guides. These documents are indeed indispensable as the transport of radioactive materials is the most complex module of the ADR (International European agreement concerning road haulage of dangerous goods).
The consultant is a natural component of the company's environmental approach, being a key player in the limitation of the ecological impact of transport.
